How to Change the Settings Used by Your System BIOS

The system BIOS has many parameters that affect the way PC works on a basic level. BIOS settings change the boot order, CPU clock speed or set a system password. BIOS settings exist on a memory module that is part of motherboard. Accessing BIOS needs only that you press a key or many keys which differ by motherboard and PC model. Few splash screens show the keys right after boot up process is started.

Instructions

1. Step 1

Reboot PC. Press the proper key to enter the BIOS.

2. Step 2

Utilize arrow keys to navigate to wanted category. Press "Enter" key to browse a category's choices and to choose options to alter.

3. Step 3

Enter the wanted value when presented with a selection want to alter.

4. Step 4

Keep on navigating by using arrow keys and the "Enter" key until you have changed all settings that you want to alter.

5. Step 5

Push "F10" key to "Save & Exit." Press "Y" to save your modifications.
