Thread: How to Repair a Laptop Keyboard Key

1. Step 1

To install key on laptop keyboard, start out by looking metal plates on keyboard. All the time must be sure to look at metal plates' place as they vary in each keyboard. The bigger metal hooks can be at top, bottom, right or left side. The place of metal hooks decides the place of plastic parts.

2. Step 2

Take the bigger plastic part and view that it has two bigger sticks, two holes and two shorter sticks. The bigger sticks are going into two smaller metal hooks on keyboard. The soft part faces away from keyboard.

3. Step 3

Take the smaller plastic part and view that it has a small bar, two to four sticks. The sticks in middle are going into holes of bigger plastic part and the bar is going to click on to bigger metal hook. The smooth part faces away from keyboard.

4. Step 4

Put smaller piece on the bigger piece and put in its sticks into holes of bigger part to make it a one piece.

5. Step 5

Put in big sticks into two smaller metal hooks of keyboard. Push it consistently to put in totally. Take a thin object or blade and extend the plastic parts upwards so that it clicks together.

6. Step 6

Take letter key, insert in middle and push down consistently from all four sides.
You are finished repairing laptop keyboard key.
