How to Set the Display on a Macbook to Mirror

Apple's MacBook comes set with an LCD display that many users will find suitable for many applications. Though, you want to connect a second monitor to device for presentations or for a bigger viewing area, MacBook comes set with a Mini DisplayPort. When an external monitor is connected to MacBook, it extends desktop area; you can move mouse and work freely between two monitors. To modify this behavior such that actions done on main display are mirrored on exterior monitor, change the display settings placed in PC's "System Preferences" window.

Instructions


1. Step 1

Find MiniDisplay port on PC, among Ethernet and USB ports. Connect one part to MacBook and other to display part.

2. Step 2

Open "Apple" menu, placed on laptop's display. Click on the "System Preferences."

3. Step 3

Find "Displays," below "Hardware" heading. Click on "Arrangement" button.

4. Step 4

Click on checkbox "Mirror Displays".

5. Step 5

Click on red button to close "System Preferences" window.
