LCD screens are delicate parts in a laptop PC. They can be injured by pressure on laptop cover, force or high temperatures. Electrical problems, like power surges, can cause screen failure. But new and utilized changes for most screens are available on line and can be modified out in an hour. With a small room on a work table and some hand tools, you can make an injured laptop working again.

Instructions

1. Step 1

Open laptop over and take out battery. Place it to the side till repair is finish. Turn laptop right-side up and open the cover.

2. Step 2

Take out holding screws around LCD. Utilize a toothpick to take out rubber or plastic coats that conceal screws. Check the look of bezel with outside edge.

3. Step 3

Use fingers to softly pull bezel away from LCD on screen. Pull softly but firmly till plastic pulls loose from back cover of the lid assembly. Utilize fingers to work around edge of bezel till you have pulled it loose around screen. Place the bezel to the side.

4. Step 4

Check outside edge of screen for retaining screws. Check face and outside edge. Take out screws holding LCD screen. Tip LCD ahead softly till video cable is visible.

5. Step 5

Remove video cable from LCD. Remove pink and white power cable from inverter to bottom of LCD. Take out LCD and place it face down. Write LCD Company’s model number.

6. Step 6

Buy a new or utilized LCD screen. Search for model number of screen, not the model number of laptop. Compare model numbers, they should be precisely the same.

7. Step 7

Put new screen in laptop's frame; again connect pink and white inverter cable.
Again connect video cable. Change any screws that were taken out from frame.

8. Step 8

Change bezel on lid assembly. Softly pinch plastic of bezel and lid with fingers to snap the two halves back jointly. Work on outside edge of screen till no gaps between bezel and lid. Work cautiously to prevent harming the LCD.

9. Step 9

Change bezel screws and plastic or rubber covers and reinstall battery. Open the laptop and check the screen.
