Many musicians who record at home utilize mixer devices called "control surfaces," to interface with recording software. A mixer device is set with some knobs and faders, precisely as a studio mixing console. Though, these devices attach to PC using USB or FireWire cables. This permits them to control recording software directly, removing the need to utilize mouse and keyboard for many works. If you record music at home, install a mixer device to make recording process quicker and avoid being hampered by interface with PC.
