USB flash drives protected to avoid writing to drive. To avoid illegal files like viruses and Trojans from saving or duplicating to drive, write-protection applied to flash device in two methods. Firstly, many USB flash drives are set with a write-protection switch on case of drive. Just set the switch to "Lock" mode to avoid saving of extra data to drive. Secondly it is applying write-protection software to device to shield the drive from illegal files.
Instructions
1. Step 1
Start a Web browser and enter Pen Protector Software site.
2. Step 2
Buy and download Pen Protector Application. The price of program is about $5.
3. Step 3
Put in USB flash drive to a USB port on PC.
4. Step 4
Copy Pen Protector Application to USB flash drive.
5. Step 5
Right tick on Windows "Start" button and choose "Explore" to open Windows Explorer.
6. Step 6
Go to USB flash drive.
7. Step 7
Double click on Pen Protector Executable file. A DOS window will open and text will show signifying that flash drive is now write-protected.
8. Step 8
To stop write-protection on pen drive, re-run the executable Pen Protector application on USB flash drive.
