RAM, is temporary memory space needed to move data to a PC processor to permit a PC to run. The amount of RAM installed in a PC can have a major impact on its speed and its capability to run particular programs. If you are hesitant of how much RAM a PC has installed, you need to check so you can judge whether it will be able to run particular applications or whether it in need of a RAM upgrade.

Instructions

Windows Task Manager

1. Step 1

Press control, alt and delete together to appear Windows Task Manager.

2. Step 2

Click on "Performance" tab.

3. Step 3

Below "Physical Memory," see the field labeled "Total." This will be total amount of
RAM. This shows information about RAM usage which help you judge whether you have a sufficient amount of RAM installed.
On a Mac

Step 1

Click on Apple Menu.

Step 2

Click on "About This Mac."

Step 3

Check the "Memory" field. This show how much RAM the Mac has installed.
