Overclocking PC can be a simple method to press extra processing power out of an older or even new PC. Intel e8400 is a highly valued processor when it comes to overclocking. The simplicity at which it can get speeds of 3.6 GHz and above is almost legendary in overclocking circles and breaking 4 GHz barrier is simply in reach. Modifying multiplier to reach an overclock is only a matter of modifying a single setting in motherboard's BIOS.

Instructions

1. Step 1

As PC is powering on, tap "Delete" key to enter BIOS' main menu.

2. Step 2

Arrow keys used to scroll to "Motherboard Intelligent Tweaker" sector and push "Enter."

3. Step 3

Scroll down and highlight "CPU Clock Ratio." The default multiplier of e8400 is 9x. Push "Enter" and scroll left and right to alter it.

4. Step 4

Push F10 to save y modifications and restart PC.
