Step 1
Initially you should do is to decide if power supply is defective or not. If PCs power supply fan from does not work when press switch, you may have a defective power supply or switch.

Step 3

Step 4
General hardware failures can cause PC not to POST or “beep”. Many new motherboard manufactures will give warning of hardware failures through beep sequences. You must test motherboards manufactures manual to look out what codes mean. You must search internet or visit motherboards manufactures website to obtain the original manual in electronic form.
Step 5
If you do not know what particular brand of motherboard PC has, you can test motherboard for different numbers and words. Place those in to browser to perform a search for information. Instead, if you have a common name brand PC like a Dell or HP, you can generally find out this information rather easy with particular troubleshooting tips for PC.
