Sometimes problem can happen with PC that is severe sufficient to render it almost inoperable until it is restarted. If you are using a Toshiba notebook, there are different methods by which you can restart PC, adding some that will work even when operating system does not reply. Restart Toshiba to repair problems that cause Windows or other programs to perform inappropriately.
Instructions
Standard Method
1. Click the "Start" button.
2. Click right-facing arrow if you are running Windows Vista or 7 or tick "Turn Off Computer" if you are running Windows XP.
3. Click "Restart" to restart PC. This is standard way for restarting every Windows-based PC, and will work all the time, even when few programs are unresponsive.
Fast Method
4. Right click on Windows desktop, and select "New Shortcut."
5. Write "shutdown -s -t 00" in box "Type the location of the item." tick "Next."
6. Give name to the shortcut "Quick Shutdown," and tick "Finish."
7. Double tick the shortcut at any time to shut Toshiba down, and then press power button to restart it.
