Sony PlayStation 2 gaming system is ready with standard RCA type output jacks for attaching to audio or video parts that utilize plug-in jacks. PC monitors ready either with part jacks or old VGA jacks, which have 15 steel pins in a trapezoid shaped plug. Based on PC monitor being utilized for connection, it may be needed to purchase a part video-to-VGA cable, which is available at electronics and PC shops.
Instructions
1. Step 1
Separate monitor from electrical outlet.
2. Step 2
Check rear of monitor to decide what connections are available. A round yellow video input jack utilizes a standard RCA-type plug. The video cable that comes with PS2 can be connected straight into this jack.
A trapezoid shaped VGA jack needs a VGA cable with a part video plug on opposite end.
3. Step 3
Connect VGA cable into rear of monitor and tighten the two screws on every side, or connect in yellow part plug by putting in straight into jack if monitor is ready with a part video input jack.
4. Step 4
Attach fair plug on further end of cable to video output jack on rear of PS2 console.
5. Step 5
Attach monitor to a wall opening and switch on PS2.
