How to Set Boot Order Option in BIOS
If you want to install a new OS, or want to a bootable cd/dvd or floppy disk to execute troubleshooting on PC, then you would need to set Boot Order in BIOS. Here explained how to set that option.
Instructions
1. Step 1
Turn on PC if it is off, or else reboot PC. Push button to enter Setup as prompted.
2. Step 2
Go to Boot option menu. Few older BIOS do not have this menu. This is set in advanced menu.
3. Step 3
Now you can place boot order. Due to various BIOS set values in different ways, follow commands on screen. Listed is favored boot order:
CD/DVD
Floppy (if there is one on your system)
Hard disk
Network Connect
4. Step 4
Go to Exit Menu. Choose the Save and Exit option. Reboot PC and check to be sure change has taken effect.
