How to Reinstall Windows XP on Gateway without a Boot Disk

Reinstall Windows XP on a Gateway without a Disc

1. Step 1

Back up everything you do not want to misplace when you reinstall Windows XP like pictures and documents.

2. Step 2

Start "My Computer" and tick on "C" drive. There are many folders. Go to "Windows" and "I386" folder. Then you will see installation icon "WINNT32." Click on this to begin reinstalling XP.

3. Step 3

Enter product key for machine. It must be placed on a sticker on bottom of laptop or side of tower. Click "Next" and agree to terms of service so reinstall will start.
