New laptop PCs have integral capability to utilize track pad for vertical scrolling by sweeping finger across right side of track pad surface. Though, few users prefer to utilize whole surface of track pad as a mouse pointer, and miss having ability to scroll. You can stop vertical scrolling by turning this aspect off in track pad properties.
Instructions
1. Step 1
Right-click on track pad icon on screen, and tick "Properties." Instead, you can reach same screen by clicking "Start" and "Control Panel," and double-clicking "Mouse."
2. Step 2
Click "Gestures" tab.
3. Step 3
Eliminate the check from the box "Enable Scrolling."
4. Step 4
Click "OK." This process stops vertical scrolling. In many cases, you will not want to restart PC.
