Most Apple PC users are familiarized to relative easiness and ease of using their PCs. With touch of a button, users can view their photos, music, videos or documents. Though, many users frequently forget advantages of Apple Remote, an infrared device contained in new Apple PCs. The device has easy functionality, but it can make life easier and media management even simpler.

Instructions

1. Step 1

Get an Apple Remote. Though many new PC comes ready with an Apple Remote, few users find that new versions of Apple Remote are more likable than older editions. Buy a new version of Apple Remote.

2. Step 2

Log in PC as an administrator. As Apple Remote functions with infrared, you should pair it only with PC you want to utilize. Turn it off, turn it back on and log in as administrator.

3. Step 3

Couple the remote. Ask to user manual to find infrared sensor. Standing near to PC, point the Apple Remote at infrared sensor. Push "Menu" and "Next/Fast Forward" buttons concurrently on Apple Remote; hold these buttons for five seconds. As a chain-link lock image shows on screen, you have effectively paired Apple Remote with PC.

4. Step 4

Utilize remote to show different media. From anywhere in PC room, point the remote at infrared sensor and push center button or "Menu" button. After a while, Front Row will show on Apple computer. Utilize remote to choose between Music, Movies, Pictures, TV Shows or Podcasts. After chosen, push center button on Apple Remote to activate that choice. Then select between photo albums, artist tracks or movies; utilize Apple Remote directional pad to move up or down, to make a choice or to return to earlier screen. As enjoying any multimedia, utilize directional pad to pause, fast forward, rewind, play or stop at any given point.
