There are various kinds of removable memory. Most general type of removable media is Secure Digital or SD card. Most PCs can utilize this card to save information like documents and music and move them to other PCs. You can also utilize them to back up files. Being able to attach SD card to PC will permit to utilize an SD card as extra storage for PCs.

Instructions

Step 1

Double click "My Computer" to open list of accessible drives.

Step 2

Attach SD card reader to PC by USB cable. If you do not plan to remove reader, put it in USB slot of PC. Wait for PC to install card reader.

Step 3

Put in SD card in card reader. Then attach PC to it.

Step 4

Drive shown in "My Computer" is SD Card open it.

Step 5

Drag and drop files you want on card onto drive symbol. Also open drive and drag files into window that appears.

Step 6

When you are completed the work right clicks on that drive and tick "Safely Remove Hardware." Be certain to close window having card's data, and close any files that are on card.

Step 7

Take out SD card from reader when PC tells you it is secure to do so.
