SD card is a storage device particularly efficient for storing video files as they have huge memory capacities ranging from 1GB to 16GB and extra. On PC, you can move videos of various formats like MP4, AVI and WMV to SD card and move to other PCs or playback on portable media players. Whether you are using a PC or Mac, you can complete this task effortlessly.

Instructions

Windows Users

Step 1

Find reminiscence certificate slot on PC. It is tagged "SD/MMC/SM/MS/MS-PRO."

Step 2

Put in SD card into memory slot. PC will mechanically identify device. Attach an SD card reader to PC and put in SD card if PC does not have an integral memory card slot. PC will mechanically identify SD card inserted in card reader.

Step 3

Double click "My Computer". You must see SD card listed as a removal disk and allocated a letter like J, K, L or D based on PC.

Step 4

Right click SD card disk and tick "Properties." You must see SD card memory capability. Click "OK" to close properties window.

Step 5

Double click SD card disk to open it. Find video file you want to move to card from place you have saved it to on PC. Right ticks it and tick "Copy."

Step 6

Go back to SD card disk window that opened and right click vacant spot. Click "Paste" to move video to SD card. Ensure that video file has a lower memory capacity than SD card or you unable to move it. Instead, drag video file straight to SD card disk window to move it.


Step 7

Close SD card disk when you are finished and tick "Safely remove hardware" button placed on system tray.

Step 8

Tick SD card disk and tick "Stop." When prompted to, remove SD card from PC.
Mac Users

Step 1

Attach an SD card reader to PC and put in SD card into card slot. PC will mechanically identify SD card inserted in SD card reader. You must see SD card listed as a removal disk on desktop.

Step 2

Double connect SD card to open it. Find video file preparatory position where store it and Click "Copy."

Step 3

Go back to SD card disk window and right-click a vacant spot. Click "Paste" to move video file to SD card. Ensure video file memory size is below that of SD card.

Step 4

Shut the SD card disk window. Drag the SD card disk from desktop to recycle bin to carefully remove it from PC.
