Belkin is PC Hardware Company that specializes in cable connections, surge protectors and expert network hubs, amongst other items. Most connections for PC are USB cables, though, a USB port not always be obtainable, so attaching Belkin USB device into a serial port can be a viable option. If you select to do so, you can attach to serial port of a PC running Vista.

Instructions

1. Step 1

Connect USB cable into Belkin machine you want to attach to Vista PC.

2. Step 2

Connect USB serial adapter onto open end of USB cable. The serial end of adapter has a sequence of pins to attach to PC.

3. Step 3

Connect adapter into serial port of Vista PC. Based on adapter and type of PC you have, the serial port adapter attach into port.

4. Step 4

Turn on Belkin machine and PC will detect that latest hardware is attached.

5. Step 5

Put in driver fitting disk of Belkin device into view PC. The fitting wizard will run. Follow prompts to finish Belkin installation.
