Graphics is what all PCs utilize to show all colors and images that you see from monitors. Much like other parts of hardware, graphics card utilizes a device called graphics driver to converse with rest of PC. Without the right graphics driver installed you unable to see anything from monitor or get slow performance and lock ups. Though you think of having graphics drivers installed it is still a good idea to double check for updates. Maintaining graphics drivers updated could be difference between slow PC and a fast PC.
Instructions
1. Step 1
Graphics Driver ATI
If you did not build PC manually you might not know exactly what kind of graphics card you are now using. So we first want to make out make and model of graphics card. We can do this by looking in control panel. Just go to Device Manager. Click first icon that must appear on list.
Device Manager Window displays all devices that make up PC. Also, if you want to install drivers for any other device you can obtain wanted information also. Double click on Display Adapter to roll out devices. This is make and model of graphics card and tells you precisely which graphics drivers you require.
2. Step 2
Now we have data that required, go to ATI's graphics driver download page. The page displays a searchable database of all ATI graphics drivers.
3. Step 3
ATI Graphics Drivers Catalyst
After you load page you can start by choosing OS, name of graphics card and then form of graphics card. This is information we got from Step 1 so be certain to click right items.
4. Step 4
ATI Download Graphics Drivers
Then page appears to show ATI's graphics driver download page. All you must do is click on black and red button that says download.
5. Step 5
ATI Graphics Driver
Just click on save file button if you are using Firefox or save now if you are using IE. After file has finished downloading you can double tick to install. Monitor will blink on and off during installation and you must reboot PC for graphics drivers to take result.
