The other way to save money when upgrading PC is by online. Many auction websites can be money saver when buying PC parts. You can save money on new item but if you do not mind having used PC parts it can be even cheaper. Do not limit yourself to auction websites; there are also regular shops online that sell parts for a laptop or desktop for cheap.

3. Step 3

If somebody is in need of cash fast they might pledge their PC. This way you actually enable to get a whole new PC cheaply. Whether you decide to keep entire laptop or desktop is fully up to you. But you could take parts from PC and then resell all parts of laptop or desktop. This can reduce cost of upgrading PC a bit.
