Default How to Access the Computer Administrator Account

If forgotten Windows 2008 administrator password, can access the account by resetting password from a different account. The account can be a different administrator account or can be a Windows power user. A power user account is capable to log in to the server and reset the password of any account with administrator, so it can save a forgotten password. Resetting the administrator password can be accomplished remotely or on the server.

    • Log in Windows server with a privileged account. This is needed to reset the administrator password, so the user can log in.

    • Go to Start and open "Control Panel". Here select "User Accounts". A dialog window will come up with a list of all the users on network.

    • Right click administrator user and open "Change Password." A dialog box will come up asking for new password.

    • Enter new admin password in the box and check the password under confirmation box. Click "Ok" after completing and Log out.

    • Type new password in login box and log in form the administrator username. This enables accessing admin account.

    Follow the given steps

1)Press F8 as Windows is starting up when the boot-up "Starting Windows. ..." In a dual-boot setting, you be able to make that from the boot menu. Once the boot menu is showing, paused for your OS selection, use the tab keys to select "Microsoft Windows”. Do not press Enter; instead, press the F8 key, and you will progress to the Safe Mode boot screen. Select the first option, "Safe Mode" and press Enter.

2)After waiting for some time it will show you the log-in screen with two options, Administrator and Other User. Click the Administrator icon.

3)Run the PC from safe mode as Administrator mutually limits and extends your rights.
