Many image scanners on market today are well-suited with both PC and Mac PCs. People running Mac OS X on PC have ability to utilize Image arrest submission, which is contained on all new Apple PCs, to append to their third-party scanners. After scanning pictures onto PC using Image Capture, you can edit images in programs like Apple Preview or Adobe Photoshop.
Instructions
1. Step 1
Put in software CD that came with scanner. Install scanner software and drivers. You want to have an administrative account on PC to finish this step.
2. Step 2
Attach scanner to a free USB port on Mac PC by standard USB cable. Connect scanner power source into an electrical hole and press power button on device. Click "Finder" icon in Dock to open a latest Finder window. Go to "Applications" folder on Mac's hard drive and then double-click on "Image Capture" icon.
3. Step 3
Put a picture face-down on scanner's glass surface. Ensure to move picture to upper left corner of surface, so that image will be correctly scanned. Push "Scan" button. The Image Capture application will identify attached scanner and will show a preview of picture.
4. Step 4
Choose any options you want for scanned picture and tick "Scan". A scanned image now saved to "Pictures" section of user folder.
