Connecting a Wireless Security Camera to a Computer

If you are in search of a way to safe home or office, wireless security cameras can be a great choice. With this, you can view camera feed from remote places using any PC with an Internet connection. Wireless security cameras do not want to be actually attached to a PC using a USB or other data cable.

Instructions

1. Step 1

Connect cameras power adapter into an electrical hole to turn on camera. Wait for camera to attach to nearest wireless network and acquire an IP address, which will show on its window in "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" format. If camera has a local area connection also, you can attach an Ethernet cable with an active Internet signal to network port on back of security camera.

2. Step 2

Log on to PC. Put in CD that came with camera. Install software and then run camera administration program. Utilize this program to set a username and password for wireless security camera.

3. Step 3

Open web browser and enter IP address of camera.

4. Step 4
Enter username and password that you set up formerly when prompted. After logging in, the feed from wireless security camera will show on the screen.
