Using one set of inputs for many PCs or servers is way to save space and money. Attaching many PCs is to a single keyboard, mouse and monitor is achieved with a KVM switch. KVM is a little input box that has physical toggle switches to control which PC inputs are controlling.

Instructions

Step 1

Attach peripherals for PC you like to toggle between to KVM then attach KVM's power supply. Be sure to attach KVM to a power source that is shielded from fixed discharge and power surges.

Step 2

Attach display cables to graphics output connections on every PC and tighten the locking screws.

Step 3

Attach KVM's USB cables to PCs. You must restart every PC to obtain it to identify new attached keyboard and mouse.

Step 4

Toggle input switches on KVM among every input to ensure you are getting clear video signals and can utilize peripherals usually and without any cover.
