Replacing Damaged Screen on an Acer Aspire ONE Netbook

Changing damaged screen manually can save some dollars and based on how backed up usual fix person backed up in their work. Procedure is a quite easy one as long as you do not allow yourself become plagued at consideration of working on own netbook. I for one have no fear of going in any of products I have bought as I suppose somebody had to build it first time so I know I can take it apart and at least obtain it back like it was. This is first of this specific type of repair I have created so you will be learning with me as I go through process.

Instructions

Step 1

Firstly you want to find an appropriate region to do work necessary. Give yourself much space and light. Also you want to find small container for screws and disassemble the unit.

Step 2

Now find tiny rubber plugs placed around circumference of face of screen case. Raise and take out rubber plugs exposing crew cavities.

Step 3

Softly divide screen casing bisects, starting at edges do not try to go too far immediately. Work your way around screen case from top down to bottom. Then softly lean front casing ahead to undo pivot points at bottom.

Step 4

With cover removed you get four screws, take out these screws and softly raise screen forward it has a light glue along cables in back. Do not forces or rip it apart just open it down and away from body of unit like how a castles draw bridge opens.

Step 5

With screws removed you can now locate plug to screen. The plug is little and simply injured. This one was taped in place one this unit. I recommend cutting tape off versus pulling it as plug shows to be delicate. Take out tape and pull evenly and gradually on plug to release it. Do not rock or bend plug.

Step 6

Unpack latest screen cautiously, do not bend or crack it. Be certain to organize of old screen appropriately. Check local area for commands.

Step 7

Arrange out screen and again connect plug and lay out web cam and mic wire along back in same pattern as they were when you begun. Change a little part of tape on plug to old it firmly as in O.E.M. specifications were.

Step 8

Set screen back into body and screw it down in innovative places.

Step 9

Change screen trim face place the bottom in first and again connect hinge points in a rocking motion. Then softly snap cover back down into place from bottom up both sides and to top center. Be certain to have web cam and mic units in their proper places.

Step 10

Change perimeter screws and rubber plugs. I utilized little spot of call strengthen on plug on this unit. Reboot netbook and it good as latest.
