Study using headphones for sound recording. If you are creating a game or an animation at home, or if you just want to play around with PC, it may be useful to know that you can utilize a ordinary pair of headphones to record voice, or any other sounds. And many PC come with a program for recording those sounds.

Instructions

Step 1

Connect headphones to PC where you generally connect headphones in. Play a sound file to ensure that both sides of headphones are functioning, or so you know which side works. Now detach head phones.

Step 2

Connect headphones in to slot that has image of a microphone or that or else shows that it is for sound input. On my computer there is little picture of a microphone, and color of slot is pink, but this possibly does not apply to all PCs.

Step 3

Click on Start, all programs, Accessories, Entertainment, Sound Recorder
or go to Search and type in "Sound Recorder"
This is Microsoft sound recorder. It is not better sound recorder in world, but if you press record, yell into headphones, then stop and press play you will hear what you said. There are other programs on internet that do not record odd "Buzzing" sound that Microsoft program does, but for now this recorder is good sufficient to test headphones.

Step 4

The difficult part is getting good program and making out how it functions. There are possibly a group of freeware sound recorders accessible on internet if you know where to seem.
