When you see that printing quality of inkjet printer has reduced, you must remove ink cartridges and change them with complete new ones. In many cases, an alert will also show on PC or printer display to inform you when printer's ink is running low. Few PC printers have unique commands for removing ink, but there are general steps you can take to finish process.

Instructions

Step 1

Switch on printer. Open cover of to reveal internal parts of printer. Check manual if you cannot make out how to open printer.

Step 2

Push ink button on printer and then wait for ink cartridges to move to center of device.

Step 3

Open cartridge tray and press hard on ink cartridge you want to take out. Cartridge will become unlocked and pop a little out of tray, at which point you can grasp its edges and pull it out completely.

Step 4

Do again Step 3 for any extra cartridges that you want to take away.

Step 5

Change ink cartridges and next close printer tray and cover. Latest cartridges will charge and usual printing will start again.
