Thread: freeze computer by dpupdchk.exe

My pc gets freeze because of some hardware problem. I am right now using windows XP Sp3, 2 gp ram, Intel core 2 dual processor and motherboard inbuilt graphic card. When my computer gets frozen I press Ctrl+ Alt+ Delete to check what process is running between. I found some file name dpupdchk.exe using much memory to run. On my knowledge there is no such type of file install in my pc.

Can anyone know what type of file is this? And also tell is this file is required or I can delete it permanently?

This program checks your computer interllipoint which basically use for update Microsoft. It is located in "C:\Program Files", file sizes on windows xp, 357,800 bytes (92% of all occurrence), 516,008 bytes, 447,560 bytes. The software is need to daily update your file. Please don’t try to delete it.
