Thread: Compaq laptop Synaptics Touchpad not functioning

I have HP Compaq 510 notebook and bought laptop. I remove synaptics icon from taskbar by msconfig.exe. Then when I restarted touch pad was not operational. I downloaded drivers for it but problem remains. Please help me to solve this problem. Any help will be appreciated.

Can you re-enable it in msconfig?

I try to enable it but problem remains. I uninstalled synaptics drivers and did hardware scan in device manager. It is showing ps/2 mouse found. When I install synaptics drivers it’s not working.

Check that drivers which are downloaded are proper or not. If drivers are not proper then reinstall it again. This may solve your problem.
