    Default Putting PCIe X1 in PCIe x16 slot

    I want to know that will PCIe X1 card fit in PCIe x16 slot. Also tell me that can it work well in it. Please provide me some suggestions about this. Any help will be appreciated.

    Though I have Asus xonar dx is x1 card and it is operating very well in x16 slot for longer period of time.

    Yes definitely you can install PCI-E x1, x4, and x8 cards in x16 slots, simply as you can install x1 and x4 in x8 slots, and x1 in x4 slots. They also work very fine.\
