Thread: Reducing the size of System renovate point

Recently My HDD capacity is full. I needed some extra HDD space that’s why i was deleting unwanted files and i found around 40 GB of system restore points alone. Is there a way to reduce the space system restore point’s use? If you are having any solution for that, then please provide that solution to me. I will be thankful to you.

To reduce the size of restore points follow the given steps:

• Right click my computer >> Properties >>system protection tab >>configure button ->>the meter bar to your preferred disk space.

You can clean old restore points, and after that make a new one on your preferred settings.

To Reducing the size of System Restore Points you need to follow the below steps mention

• Go to start, run and open command prompt

• Then type the command

vssadmin resize shadowstorage /On=A: /For=A: /Maxsize=BGB

Where A is the drive you would like to change and B is the number of GB.

It will return in the System Protection configuration window instantly.
