    Default USB hardware crash

I connect in a saitek x52 joystick and computer an immediately blue screen with an USB_Driver problem, I then installed the software for the joystick, and connect in the joystick, all seemed to be fine then installed a Logitech cordless rumble joystick software for 64 bit and connect in the controller when prompted to After doing this the PC blue screened again, with a message about USB_Driver. I restarted and tried to install again, this time it worked, but 20% of the time I would connect the joystick into the PC the computer would freeze sufficient that the mouse would not still work.

through sound problem there it would look the usb drivers for the Logitech model controller are not going on completely with the 64bit version of windows Vista you have on the B notebook. Sometimes you have to install the device drivers first and then stay until a restart to connect an usb device in to have Windows prompt with the fresh device detected message With notebook a not considering any blue screen there it sounds as the reinstallation of Vista is working as it should while B could have a glitch with the preinstall. If you have a recovery disk one thing else you can try is running the "scan now" command at the Run command live with the recovery disk in the drive. That will change any system files found damaged or missing since the B unit was renovate by your description.

I just want to add generally if you find a BSOD and the error point to it’s a driver then it is a software issue. If the BSOD confirmed a device then more or less its accrual hardware. This used to be not true in previous edition of windows but now with vista Microsoft kinda made their terms more accurate .
