Thread: System hangs at Verifying DMI pool data

I am using Windows XP operating system with 1 GB RAM and Core2Duo processor, but during boot up my system hangs at "Verifying DMI pool data." I can’t figure out why I am facing such problems and hence need your help in solving the issue, Please suggest some solutions.

I am sure that this change will definitely help you. Here DMI or Desktop Management Interface is a layer of generalization among system components and the applications that manages them. The System Management BIOS (SMBIOS) is an addition of the Basic I/O System (BIOS) that formulates and submit this data to the OS of system. When the BIOS are "Verifying DMI pool data" it is examine the chart of data it sends to the OS. If it isn't successful, it will send error. Which takes time to fix? If you make changes in computers hardware prior to issue occurred, make sure you change it.

If you installed a new HD, change the circuit board CMOS Setup to Auto for the drive type. Allow “Reset Configuration Data" in the circuit board CMOS Setup PNP/PCI configuration. Pull all boards not required to boot the computer.
