Thread: How to Troubleshoot Alter Lansing

Hi all, I just brought Altec VS 4121 speakers . After set up I turn on the speakers I thought of hearing great sound but unluckily there was sound form the down firing of the speakers. There was damped sound from the speaker. Please tell me what might be the issue? Thanks!

I guess there might be various reasons which might be the root cause of the issue. As for me you should check 3.5 mm jack is attached properly.I guess the issue might be taking because of loose connection between speakers and computer. Just try it.

I am advising few trial and error method to check out the reason of this problem. Well in this case I am suggesting you that you should check stereo input plug by advicing the similar and put them slow and initial you have to go and single channel then attempt to attach with second channel. In any case if tweeters perform then I am confident that it was happening due to fault in to input jack.

I get humming sound on my speakers and I am advicing you following things which you can use to fix it. I have found that humming sound is generated due to amplifier preamp section. It is into 1036 which is DC operated tone control. You should substitute POWER AMP IC before substituting 1036. One more thing you should check whether IC is performing properly or not.
