Default B Three Phenom Sets TLB consequences

We have had AMD's fresh Phenom "Biii" silicon in-house for a moment just and we have confirmed that the TLB Erratum is not observed through CPU board with the BIOS workaround.

In our view this has never been an consequence for the enthusiast as the erratum does not effect desktop PC systems and is near impossible to duplicate in still server class hardware.

Hence the TLB erratum was identified in November of 2007, we have now to see any of the websites splashing it across their pages repeatedly really matching and confirm the erratum in-house.None of the benchmarks we have always shown to our readers have added the TLB function penalties.

None of the CPU boards we have always advices to our readers have always not had the power to turn off the TLB workarounds. Hence, we see entire of this as a non-issue on the desktop side of things. As for the server market, this is incredibly good news for AMD as it means the Phenom only acquire quicker not only in conditions of clock velocity, but too in conditions of function each clock.Name: B Three Phenom Sets TLB consequences.jpg

Here are a pair of fast benchmark comparisons to depict you that the TLB penalty has been got rid of. Entire benchmarks were assuming at identical clock velocities on the similar Gigabyte GA-MA790FX-DQ6 CPU board, which occurs to even be our favorite 790FX chipset CPU board, for the AMii+ socket. As you may look, the Phenom Bii benchmarks with TLB sets turned off are the "same" as native Biii silicon scores.

The TLB erratum has been settled in B3 Phenom silicon.Dan is functioning with overclocking the Phenom Xiv 9850 Black Version now. Our Phenom 9600 Black Version overclocking answers can be seen here, but from maintaining tabs on our readers' feels, our answers function about 200MHz higher than what I would imagine is "average." Hopefully the Phenom X4 9850 will fare excellent overall.
