I have currently set up the cooler master V8 fan into my system but unable to set up the Knob. the fan has a cord with 2 link that you will attach to the knob and the knob has 3 links . I am really puzzle which one of the iii do I attach it into? I have test first with plug in the 2 links into the knob but the fan did not function in this case and then I have tested with the second form the fan is functioning but the knob is backwards, just when I turning the fan on high then the rpm goes down. If anyone familiars how to set up the cooler master V8 knob perfectly then please assist me.

I have too adjust the cooler master VEight Fan into my system and adjust the knob through me and confronting the same trouble with the fan, the fan does not appear to be automated through my CPU board at all. I have already test with set it up in the bios when the temperature is less than 30 and go to 50 percent, but this also does not function for me. I imagine the fan velocity is ever based on the knob setting, please assist me to acquire out of this issue.

I imagine to set up the knob in to the fan you only test this configuration first you should attach the 3 pin of the fan in to the CPU board and then turn the link to the knob and only see what the answer you are acquiring with the fan but I am too little bit puzzle as I imagine you have not stated perfect configuration.

I do not imagine so you have to set up the knob in to the cooler or fan because the knob should be already linked to the cooler and if it is not similar to that then it means the knob is separate so you should acquire a fresh one as a substitute and the 3 pin you are speaking about is to be plug into the CPU board central processing unit fan header to give it power.

You only first look carefully at the link of your cooler, you will see one is a Four pin link that is to be attach into your CPU board and the other one is Two pin that is to be attach in to the knob and then attaches itself to the fan. I imagine your fan is pwm controlled which means it will velocity up depending on the temperature and at the similar time your fan is vrm controlled which means you can too control the fan through the knob. So as long as your 4pin connected to the CPU board then there is no trouble for you but you make confirm that the other 2 pins are perfectly linked.

I imagine your Knob is classify and if it is not and the cords thought to come out then just double check the V8 manual it will assure you which pins to link to and you are not capable to do this then contact cooler master and ask them how to set this. If your knob is really separate then do not RMA it, acquire a refund and substitute it with something excellent similar to prolimatech Megahalems as the V8 is not really so good at cooling the i7 serial.
