Thread: PC Suggestion

'I want to buy a new Pc.I already have an LCD TV and speakers, and so I don't need these. Is Quad Core required or will Core 2 Duo be more than sufficient? Which series in Core 2 Duo is good? I want to be able to add performance in the future. Which motherboard do you recommend? Should I go in for a full tower cabinet or a compact one? I don't wish to compromise on performance unless it is very marginal. Do I need a 1000 W power supply or will something smaller do? Remember, I want SLI or Crossfire in the future.

Also, which ISP should I choose? Iwish to have good download speeds.

Hi, regarding the ISP, you will have to check locally, since miffs differ. I have found Reliance's WiMAX service to be good. BSNL is also convenient for most, but your budget needs to be extended. Regarding your PC, unless you can go for a Core i7, remember that both SLI and Crossfire will not be possible on the same motherboard. I recommend a Core 2 Quad-based PC based on DDR2 RAM. I don't recommend either SLl or Crossfire; stick with a single card.

My PC configuration is
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 , ASUS P5Q motherboard , 2 x 2 GB DDR2 800 MHz (Corsair) , ZOTAC GeForce GTX 285 . Buy a Corsair HX 620 or TX 650 PSU . The Coolermaster 690 chassis should be suitable for this rig.
