Thread: Q9550 or i5 750 Gaming/Multimedia Build Help

I'm looking for a new build for Gaming and Multimedia, But im not sure on which exact chip to use.

Im either looking at the Q9550 or the i5 750

Case: Antec 900 v2

or

Which would be the better gaming machine, Would go the i7 but cost it pretty high, and so are the temps. The PC will be used for Gaming and movies.

I would recommend i5 system,i5 processor are way much faster and bette than core 2 quads, they have L3 cache, integrated memory controller and new instructions there's no doubt you should go with i5.

I have a Q9550 - great chip. But if I were planning to build now, I'd wait and see what the reviews and tests show and go with i5 or i7.
