Thread: Problem with my computer

I am facing a problem with my computer. My system configuration is Core 2 Duo 2.2 GHz, 4 GB DDR2 RAM, Nvidia 8600GT graphics card and running Windows Vista 32 bit operating system. I have an older 14 -inch CRT monitOr. I usually play GTA4 on the PC. later I connected my PC to a 32-inch samsung lCD TV. In the beginning the game plays well with all settings kept on low. But when I change the rElsolution to 1180 x 800, the TV display disappears and shows a message 'mode not supported'. I then tried changing the resolution back to normal and the game was running fine again, but with low fps values. later I tried the 1920 x 1080 resolution and I was not able to play the game on the TV. Please help me to solve this problem. The game is working on my old monitor. I don't know if formatting and reinstalling the operating system on my PC will solve the problem, but I don't want to format it right now!

There is very little that you can do to play the game on the resolution you have mentioned using your Samsung TV. The 32-inch TV supports only particular resolutions and will display the error message if the resolution is not supported. If your television is a High-Definition television, it should support 1920 x 1080 and your game should work. If not, try 1366 x 768. Check your TV manual for the maximum resolution it supports. The only other possibility is to try hunt for a driver for the TV and install It, but you might still not get the same resolution. But it is worth a try. Check with the Samsung
