A Trojan virus is that part of the PC software that affects the files on the system and causes trouble from start to end. In some cases, a Trojan virus will affect the performance of the PC and slow things down. In other case, the virus will copy data and send it to others. Renewal a computer infected by a Trojan virus can be difficult but is not impossible.
1. Enable the antivirus software and update the virus definitions. These are the small instruction that the antivirus software is given regarding the various kinds of virus possibly be affected by. You'll require the most advanced virus definitions if want to remove the Trojan virus.
2. Detach PC from the net. It is optional though; if the virus is sending information to another party it won't be able to do that without a functioning Internet connection. As a precaution, get rid of the Ethernet cable from the back of the PC if the virus has been deleted.
3. Restart computer in Safe Mode. Safe Mode is a mode of Windows created to use only the programs that are essential to the functioning of the OS. If the virus has affected any files that are generally in use by Windows, it will be difficult to delete as these files are constantly being accessed. In Safe Mode, these files won't be accessed and the virus will be easier to take care of.
4. Does a complete system scan. Enable antivirus software and choose the "Full System Scan." This will scan each file and folder on the HDD for remnants of the virus. The files will be quarantined, meaning they’ll be unable to access any network and programs.
5. Remove all the affected files. After completing complete system scan, PC will present with a list of affected files. Choose them all and remove them from the PC. This will delete of virus completely that the antivirus software has found, which should be all of it on PC.
6. Restart in normal mode and connect to Internet connection.
