The Lenovo IdeaCentre A600 is probably the only Windows-based All-in-one machine we've seen that, although mimicking the iMac's concept, brings out enough innovation to give it a tough fight. It occupies almost the same amount of desk space as a 20-inch iMac. It looks pretty cool in its black shade. A pro over the iMacs we've tested; the A600 sports a 16:9 wide-screen aspect ratio screen that supports a full HD (1920 x 1080 pixel) resolution. It was a pleasure to watch a 1080p video on it. The screen is fairly bright and is crisp. On the right bottom, it has a slot-in DVD writer. There's a higher-end model also available with a Blu-ray drive - a perfect compliment to the high-def screen. Unlike the Mac, it has a host of ports (USB, FireWire) and a card reader on its side for easy access. We were slightly disappointed that the speakers did not belt out as much thump as much the iMac did. Volume was also slightly lacking. You can't expect great performance out of this mobile processor but the graphics solution - the ATi Mobility Radeon 3650 really helps in performance in games. The Lenovo A600 paired via Bluetooth, the range won't cover your entire house, but a nifty feature to have nonetheless.
