The Aspire X1800 has a cute little cabinet. It should fit in nicely on any crowded desk. Despite its small size, the X1800 has a plethora of ports. An eSATA port, surprisingly not seen on most other models, is available on this one. The keyboard, other than decent tactility, also offered a nifty volume knob at the corner. The mouse also is quite ergonomic thanks to its slightly arc-shaped design.
The other two Acer models (the Aspire 1£3530 and Aspire 1£4750) are full sized cabinets. But unlike the plain-jane looks that other manufacturers chose, Acer's well-built cabinets have a distinct designer top. Also at the top are four USB ports which will be nifty for people who keep their cabinet under the table. Lastly, the power button is placed at the top corner, the design reminding us of the Acer Revo we tested last month.
All three models come with the same set of stereo speakers. Unlike the ones bundled with lntex PCs, Acer's desktop series are powered via USB and with a standard 3.5-mm port to connect to the Pc. They give out quite decent audio quality with stereo output.
