Default I want replace my Pentium 4 machine?

I want to replace my existing Pentium 4 machine with a new one. I want your advice on the minimum configuration for a PC. My usage is solely for basic accounting, using MS Office and Internet (including online flash based games). My budget is approx 15,000. I already have a DVD writer and a Samsung 15-inch LCD monitor. Can you advise a configuration such that it does not become obsolete in the next 4-5 years?

Promising that a computer will not be absolute in the next 4-5 years is not possible as it depends on future programs and the operating system's hardware requirements. To suit your present needs and budget, I would advise you to opt for an AMD Sempron 140 (23.7 GHz) along with a Gigabyte GA-MA74GM-S2 motherboard, 2 GB RAM (Kingston DDR2-800), 320 GB hard drive (WS Caviar Blue), Microsoft keyboard and mouse combo (Desktop 500), Artis S7+ stereo speakers, iBall PC case (iBall i6363 with 250W PSU) and Windows 7 Home Basic. This config would exclude the optical drive and monitor as you said you already have these. For others reading this query, the cost of the above configuration along with a DVD writer (LG GH22 SATA 22x) and basic LCD monitor (LG Ll77WSB, 17-inch wide).
