Sony's VPCZ137GX makes a balance among usability ergonomics and work that's difficult to compete. It's not enough as light or as tiny as most of its ultra portable competitors but it gives a 13.1-inch 1600 by 900 view high ergonomics and the onboard DVD burner that's few in the category. It's still smaller and lighter than your normal all-purpose 14 or 15 inch laptop. It also looks nice and is a mind blowing performer.
But the VPCZ137GX and the Z-series laptops in normal aren't of low cost. The VPCZ137GX costs a whopping 2300. Even the cheapest 13.1-inch Z-series unit is around 2000 and there are configurations varying up to 3700.There are few nice reasons for the lofty sticker price adding a 256GB SSD.
It's an rich factor but it gives a snappy feel to the installed Windows 7 64-bit working system that you generally won't get with a standard rotating hard disk even with CPUs rapid than the VPCZ137GX's highly competent 2.53GHz Intel Core i5 460M. There's also 4GB of 1066MHz DDR3 system memory and an Nvidia GeForce GT 330M changing GPU with 1GB of video memory.
Put those factor through PCWorld's benchmarking suite and you end up with an greatt 118 World bench score as well as fantastic game frame rates for an ultra usable laptop. 1080p HD video played smoothly on the beautiful display and the audio was pretty clear and widely sounding. Bass was not there but that's normal for most laptops.
