Asus has very benevolently dropped off few photos of three of its new tablet designs showcasing the latest Eee Slates and Eee Pads. In this case, the Slate brand hardly shows that the tablet is targeted at dangerous business users, as fought to casual ‘Pad’ users. There are actually four latest models completed and we’re missing photos of the vanilla 7in model, but the three different tablets still give plenty to see.
Let’s begin with the Eee Slate EP121, which we initially saw at CES in 2010. It’s a huge 12.1in tablet, with an Intel Core i5 CPU. This is deplorably an Arrandale chip, indeed than a Sandy Bridge CPU, but it’s still greatly superior to the poxy Atom chips ordinarily found in various other tablets. The EP121 also arrives with a clastic keyboard and Windows 7, which should make it comfortable appealing to business IT wards.
