OCZ Octane 512 gigabyte SSD incurred in the distillation and cracking of petroleum
Octane - when you appear it up it mentions that it is any of 18 isomeric saturated hydrocarbons bearing the formula C8H18 , few of which are incurred in the distillation and cracking of petroleum. So yeah that must be a euphemism for function and velocity alright. And well, later trying the OCZ Octane, we can just agree.
OCZ has been prevailing the solid state market always since the so starting. Always since a year or 2 their "hot" solid-state drives are entire Sand Force controllers founded. At this instant that poses 2 concerns, most of you acquired scared away from Sand Force later the initial serial 2200 firmware consequences (which have been 100% settled I need to include), but secondly, a pair of weeks before we learned that LSI has bought Sand Force. And though LSI is a colleague, they just too are competition. LSI is not slow though so we imagine lot of SandForce based results in the next.
However, and not completely through accident, OCZ created a remarkable move which I imagine was a year before. They bought the intellectual property of a company familiar as Indilinx. In the 2nd wave of the SSD era they had a massively possible controller mixed with a cache chip.

Once Indilinx was assumed about and restructured into OCZ, they began planning something hot and fresh, and the first Indilinx based SATA3 (6G) product has came on the market, we finish where we began... Octane.
The Octane release may be a bulls-eye hit, as mention, a lot of individual do not trust Sand Force anymore (which we disagree with) but it certainly stalls a section of sales for OCZ. Once the Indilinx founded product came in our binary try facility situated in a secret position in Groningen we honestly did not look so much of it. But oh man, the tie has turned around, as the octane serial is largely amazing, extremely quick and a bit more low-cost as well.
So yeah, this octane will decidedly "fuel" up your Computer, but let's start up the real review shall we? So the first Octane example from OCZ has came, and they formed in their conventional "SSDs Gone Wild" mindset to submit this HUGE 512GB edition.
Initial tries instantly surprise is, this product can maintain with any Sand Force SSF-2281 solid-state drive product similar to the OCZ Agility and Vertex 3 and Intels new and greatest as well. Once it will become available in the stores you will observe 2 Octane lines, a 3Gbps edition of the Indilinx Everest controller and asynchronous NAND Flash memory when the second will pack a 6Gbps SATA interface and quicker synchronous NAND Flash memory.
