Acer ever looks to bring something fresh with their netbooks, and it is no dissimilar this time around with the Acer Aspire 1 Happy ii netbook. This unit arrives with a distinctively eye catching colour option, characteristics the Intel Atom N570 processor and has a double boot characteristic permitting the user to boot either to the Windows 7 Starter edition or Android 2.3.1 OS - booting to the latter OS would be a helpful choice when you need to rapidly function a common task, such as Web browsing, less having to go by the longer function of having to expect for the Windows OS to start up to access the needed functionality.

issuing this netbook. The review unit I got the glossy Papaya Milk shading, which extends the back-lid, the power button and the touchpad and mouse button, with the remains of the netbook retaining a white matte end - the display bezel had a white glossy end.

As is to be awaited, the glossy fields do attract a plenty of smudges and finger prints - but on the parts coloured in Papaya Milk, the shading does offset the visibility of these smudges to cover from sure showing angles. Too, only similar the Acer Aspire One 722 netbook that we had reviewed before, this netbook too characteristic the effective droplet plan on its backlid.

The power button is situated at the top left corner right below the left hinge. Only similar to the Acer Aspire One 722 unit, this netbook's central part at the rear of the chassis - the field in among the two hinges - is somewhat elevated and, as with the display bezel, has a surface with a white glossy covering.
