Thread: Speakers not working

My speakers have stopped working recently. If I try to watch a video on the internet or on Windows Media Player there is no sound. But if I try playing any games or listen to music on itunes, it magically starts working. I've tried using another set of speakers but it doesn't help. Can anyone help?

Do you get any error codes when opening Windows Media Player?

I know it sounds silly, but have you checked your volume level in Media Player to check it is up to a suitable level?
