Thread: Windows XP Starting Problem

My PC Cofiguration

OS : WINDOWS XP
PROCESSOR : Intel 800 Mhz
RAM : 256 MB

After starting PC it shows at first Crive Window instead of Desktop.
What is the problem?
How can I solve it so that after starting PC it shows at first the DESKTOP?
Is it Register File Problem?

Please give me immediate solution

I would like to assist that are you shutting down your computer completely or directly switching off from the main switch. Is it shows the blue screen with the drive being scanning or only the drive does the computer gets started afterward. let me know the whole process waiting for your reply.
