Thread: Open Office calc question

Hi:
Am new to this site. I have a data base of numbers in a text field. There are 6 individual numbers in one field in exponential format, x.xxxxx+5x.xxxxx+5..........x.xxxxx+5. I need to get the numbers into single cells in the spreadsheet in the correct format. Is there a way to do that in Calc other than retyping each individual number?

I think the numbers are from a science database. The data is in a text format of 6 numbers single afterwards another single x.xxxxxx+5x.xxxxxx+5.......x.xxxxxx+5. So You can import it as a fixed with format. You can then specify the columns.

Yes, it is the ENDF data base. How exactly do I import with a fixed with format? I tried but could not find it.
